Michael Weiss is a business management consultant with a focus on funding and growing businesses that leverage science and technology to increase social responsibility. His investment banking firm, BYK Consulting and Management, has seen the successful closure of several substantial M&A deals in this area since 2000, including the sale of Paradigm Geophysical for $100M in 2002.
Barry Sterman, CEO
Dr. Sterman, was CEO and founder of Kayote Networks, which developed a Voice Over IP platform for telecom carriers. Prior to that he served as Chief Scientist at Deltathree (Nasdaq:DDDC), worked in the Satellite Communications division at AT&T's Bell Labs, and as a consultant in the areas of database design, billing systems, and automated data flow. He has published numerous technology papers, holds multiple patents and authored Internet Engineering Task Force RFC 4590 relating to security protocols. Dr. Sterman holds a Ph.D. in Physics and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
Benny Last, Board Member
As CEO of IDT Europe, Benny Last managed 12 divisions with 520 employees across Europe and was instrumental in creating two new divisions - a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) division, and a Financial Services division. He oversaw the sale of IDT´s CPS/Broadband subsidiary to Pipex Communications plc for $40M. Between 2001 and his promotion to CEO in 2005, he increased IDT´s European presence from 5 to 17 countries and grew revenues to $180M as Director of Retail Operations. Prior to IDT, Mr. Last was CEO of an electronic component distribution company and was responsible for increasing revenues from $220,000 to over $10M. Mr. Last holds a B.Sc. in Banking and International Finance.
